0 stars for a complete lack of integrity and ethics in their business practices. I worked @ The Content Factory ATX team under Hass and Brodie for four months, from June to September 2024, and throughout that time, I did not receive any of my commissions. After my employment ended, Hass and I agreed that I would be paid in installments: 3-4 payments of $1,500, with the debt likely settled by the end of December (see screenshots 1 & 2).

Despite being given specific dates for when my commissions would be sent, I was never paid on time. Every month, I persistently follow up for updates, only to be met with condescending responses like, “I’ll get to it when I get to it,” “soon,” and “What did I tell you? I’ll send it today.” Even with these reassurances, payments were never sent as promised (see screenshots 3, 4, & 5).

Not only was I not paid in full by December as agreed, but there was no effort to honor our agreement. I only received the agreed upon $1,500 in November, followed by $1,200 and $1,000 in subsequent months. As of February 18, I still have no update on the remaining payments. At this rate, I won’t be paid what I’m owed until past April— 7 months after my employment ended and 4 months late on our agreement.
It’s frustrating to hear a new excuse every month for why I haven’t been paid. While I see posts on Instagram about your personal philosophy of ethics, ‘lean business practices,’ and record-breaking months—not to mention updates about travels, renovations etc —I’m being told that ‘unexpected costs’ and being ‘too busy’ are the reasons I can’t receive the money in the manner we discussed. This inconsistency is disappointing and wildly unprofessional.

I’m not sure if not paying employees is one of their so-called ‘lean business practices’ or if I’m being singled out as a remote worker, but the constant excuses for withholding my wages are unacceptable. Despite their public posts about ethics, record-breaking success, and travels, I’ve had to persistently follow up just to receive partial payment. I truly believe that without my efforts, I wouldn’t have been paid at all.

I’m posting this review at the risk of retaliation and potentially not receiving the rest of what I’m owed. But, anyone currently or considering working with/for them deserves to be aware of how they treat their (now former) employees so that they can avoid a similar experience.

UPDATE (screenshot 6): The claim that clients didn’t pay their recurring invoices—and that they’re somehow doing me a favor by not deducting these amounts from my commissions—is completely false and yet another excuse. According to my employment agreement, I was to be paid a fixed percentage of CASH COLLECTED each month. Whether clients paid recurring invoices after my employment ended is irrelevant, as services are rendered month by month only after payment, and my commission statement was calculated based solely on cash collected at the time.

The only reason this is being dragged out and I’m not being paid is simply because they don’t want to pay me. They’re framing this as a favor by suggesting they’re not charging back my commissions based on a false premise, but this is just another attempt to justify withholding what I’m owed.

UPDATE 2 (screenshot 7 ): As expected it seems they’re using this review against me.
The fact is, I’m supposed to be paid month by month regardless of a negative review they earned. In fact, they are in violation of several Texas pay day laws (screenshot 8). I have never paid on time, in full or on scheduled pay days. Not only that, but I also was not paid off in full within 6 days or next pay day after termination/resignation as Texas law requires employers to do.
