Ever since Tom died and great personalties like Silk Casper left the station, its become a lite version of WAPL. Same tired 70s and 80s rock hits over and over again, blah on air personalities. Im only 31 by the way. WMDC used to be fun to listen to. So good that i actually listened to the live stream online when I lived out of state! Truly was a good variety before… now no longer listen

Memories - are growing distant. Tom Biolo made the "Great 98" - truly "Great" to listen to - tragically Tom Biolo died - in 2019. "The Great 98" became nothing more than a smaller lighter version of WTCX essentially mixing some decent classic hits this station is known for with a lot of major 80s hair bands. To be honest - I must ask - what was the audience of the station. I grew up listening to WMDC and remember the days of when I made my fan based impression of Ryan Stiteley and how I got to meet him as I was his biggest fan. I still miss the days when Ryan Stiteley was the big morning news director and the comedy sketches were amazing - some were indeed in poor taste but honestly that's what made it fun and entertaining - The Great 98 presents a comedy bite - often Silky Casper would do some funny odd voice to go along with something - made it amazingly entertaining. The station originally brought a major amount of great hits - and now it's become almost a duplicate of WTCX with enough classic hits sprinkled so it's worth listening to if you are more of a mix based person but the 80s hair bands - I don't think actually fit the original vision of what Tom Biolo had in mind.
