I highly recommend Westside Video Service. I was left with many tapes, all different kinds, from different decades, as I was the executor of an elderly entertainer's estate. Sam was great. He worked with me to make it as simple and as affordable as possible. He transferred all my my tapes to a digital format, transferring everything to a single, easy to use USB drive. He was professional, caring, and accessible. If I need anything else transferred I will definitely go back to Sam. I'm also recommending him to all of my friends. He was/is great. I submitted a large batch of CDs containing videos and photos for them to be transferred to digital. Soon after the fires broke out.
But Sam could not have been more helpful. His communication was consistently attentive, his work product arrived in a timely manner, he helped me work out a few kinks with getting them onto my cloud environment and the final product was terrific.

Westside Video Service is honestly the BEST!!!! They converted all of my childrens’ (ancient) childhood video cassette tapes to digital format. Some of the old tapes were also damaged and warped, but Sam did an amazing job salvaging and restoring the footage! I am beyond grateful. You gave me back so many special memories!! Having these precious videos converted was the best decision I’ve made, and I am so happy that I found Westside! They were super fast with great prices! I've just delivered over 40 pounds of video and audio tapes to WESTSIDE VIDEO SERVICES. Sam, the owner, is copying my library of multi-formatted tapes onto a thumb drive.

After 48 years, I have retired, as a "hyphenate" (writer-producer-director) and wanted an easily transportable collection of my life's work. Tape formats have changed over the years, making it difficult to find players.

(Video and audio tapes has a limited life. If stored properly this can be as long as 30 or 40 years. Luckily, my tapes have been kept in an air-conditioned house, although my early tapes have degraded quite a bit.

Sam's talent and unique equipment were able to make excellent copies of my years of experience. Westside Video Services specializes in tape but does not transfer films. I am also having my films transferred to thumb drives.

For added protection and easy access, all the data will be transferred to my Dropbox account.
