I was a patient with Boston Med Center for 4 years and 3 surgeries. I thought I'd never find a better team or better hosp. When I moved to AZ I had spinal rods fracture and were shifting out of my back. I trusted no other Dr but my surgeon in Boston. THEN I was introduced to CORE. Carlos Pence is the best thing that could have happened. He's like no other and CORE has been my new best friends. I've had knee replacement surgery. I've been through all types of procedures to avoid more back surgeries. I mean they do it all. If it were not for Carlos I'm not sure where I'd be now. He put me in a right state of mind to accept the things I cannot change. His bedside manner is like no other. I feel I can go to him with anything. When he explains things in great detail he'll dumb down the things I don't understand without making me feel like an idiot. Chad Gleason and Dr.Souza did my knee and they were like meeting old friends after a long time. I feel inside myself they are like my family now. I have so many things going on. Being an athlete and being in sports my whole life. My body is retaliating, that and I'm 54 now so .....no need to explain more....I feel great knowing that the CORE will always be there to treat me. They certainly give Boston Med a run for it's money. They are great and if I had 10 hours I could go on ...I appreciate each and every one of you!

He truly understands what it’s like to work through pain and always balances encouragement with empathy.

In addition to his skill, Dr. Brown has a wonderful bedside manner that immediately puts you at ease. When I had concerns, he saw me right away and made me feel heard and cared for. I had my first experience at The Core Institute for issues with my hands. From this very busy front office to back the staff was great! Dr. McKernan is the best! He has a great bedside manner. Hes professional, and very through. Provides you with your options with no pressure and I like that. Some surgeons just like to cut and pressure you to do surgery. He did not! I did opt for hand surgery, and again he was amazing! Within 3 days of the surgery I was amazed at how I could move my hand, and even use it. Highly recommend him and his physician assistant. Great team!

Alex Witzman Is an excellent physician's assistant. She made sure she gathered all the facts then told me my options. She never hurried me on my questions and provided answers in layman's terms which was helpful due to the complexity of my problem. You would do well to have her be your physician's assistant.

First revisit to Core Institue in several years. PA Chad Gleason was tremendous; knowledgeable, professional and caring. As a patient I felt seen and heard and very much was included in follow up visit and treatment plan. Very efficient appointment process from check to x-rays to room for a history of present problem and seen by my provider. 5 STARS

Dr Brown is awesome. This guy is truly amazing. He has excellent bed side manner. He tells you the truth and tells how he is going to fix it. He looks at everything and then he tells you what to expect. I will not go anywhere else for anything to do with my shoulders.
