As a wedding photographer, I’ve had the joy of documenting love stories in countless venues and The Boardwalk in Benton Harbor quickly became one of my absolute favorites. The location is stunning with a thoughtful layout that makes the day flow seamlessly for couples, guests and vendors alike. Nestled right on the water, the views are unreal and offer such a dreamy backdrop for portraits at any time of day.

I had the pleasure of photographing Nolan & Emily’s wedding here and the experience was exceptional from start to finish. Matt, the owner, was on-site all day and such a grounding presence - helpful, kind and clearly invested in making sure everything ran smoothly. That kind of support is rare and so appreciated, especially when you’re working hard to help a couple’s vision come to life.

Whether you're getting married here or documenting the day like me, The Boardwalk is truly a gem in Southwest Michigan. I can't wait to be back!

The Boardwalk was such a unique wedding venue! I photographed there about a month ago and still think about all the fun locations and different vibes each spot on their property provided. Matt was wonderful to work with and was such a great help during the day. I definitely recommend choosing The Boardwalk as your wedding venue- between the greenery, twinkling lights, and overall beautiful spaces, you will have a wedding day to remember!

If you're seeking a venue that has amazing staff, beautiful landscapes and genuinely cares about you as a couple absolutely book the boardwalk! As a photographer I have never had such a seamless and well ran day in my 4 years of doing weddings. The owners Matt and Kathryn have put so much thought and attention to detail to not only give the couples and guest an amazing experience but also the vendor teams! Very thankful of the opportunity to photograph one of my couples here this year and can't wait to hopefully photograph many more!

As a photographer and videographer, I am ALWAYS looking for venues to shoot at. This venue is nothing short of MAGICAL.

In my opinion, venues can make or break your photos. This venue - makes it. There are so many places to take incredible pictures, and you can tell that they have truly thought about every single detail and poured their hearts and souls into this venue.

On top of everything, the owner and the staff are incredible. They are so hands on and willing to do whatever they can to make sure the day goes smoothly. Their communication with vendors before the wedding is absolutely outstanding. They even have their own sound system that plays music throughout the entire grounds.

Worried about rain on your wedding day? No worries here - this venue came with MULTIPLE plans in place for vendors in case it rained.

You can really tell that they love what they do and are extremely passionate about it. It was an absolute honor being able to photograph and video this venue.

Charming venue off a quiet road in southwest Michigan on the St. Joseph river. Wonderful venue with an even greater staff who go above and beyond to welcome you and your guests. Hospitality and dedication to clients that's hard to find. Matt and his staff are raising the bar for the wedding industry here in Southwest Michigan and I can't wait it all unfold!

To say this place is a hidden gym is an understatement! It's a portal into a whole nother world and an experience there just are no words for. Choosing this as a your venue would be the best decision you could make in planning your wedding. Many thanks to the entire Boardwalk team for making our special day everything we imagined & more! While the venue was perfection, the staff was just as perfect with their attention to detail, attentive support, and willingness to modify anything and everything to make the day feel unique and personal. Celebrating our wedding on one of the stormiest nights of the year was not a part of our plan, but the Boardwalk quickly moved everything inside the pavilion & kept us enjoying time with our guests rather than worrying about the rain. As a professional musician whose band performed here in September for a wedding reception, I can safely say that it is one of the nicest venues in Western Michigan at which we've performed.
