I lived right across from this for 2 years. It was great to wake up every morning and see the "Hollywood" sign at your window. I always wonder what was being produced there every time I walked by. I remembered lots of RV's parked on Gower.

Small studio in the heart of Hollywood with so much history. Some of your favorite shows probably shot there and while it's not as big as some of the Valley lots, it's great here and won't take you 20 minutes to get to the other side of it.

At this intersection, the 6 Mile House and Blondeau Tavern serviced the stagecoaches and others traveling north from L.A. at the turn of the century (19th/20th). Hollywood's prohibition laws ("no alcohol without a prescription") put Blondeau's out of business in 1904. In 1911, Al Christie and David Horsley rented the Blondeau site for $40/month and opened a branch of New Jersey's Nestor Studios. It was the first real movie studio actually in Hollywood. Sunset Gower Studios is where Judge Judy and Dexter are filmed, among others. Interesting people gather at the Starbucks at Gower's Gulch
