Hiring Matt McKernan and his team was a big mistake. He misrepresented us, as our listing agent. His team were no-shows for open houses, and for fluff reasons like going golfing and pursuing leisure activities. It was such a disappointment to us, as we foolishly signed a 3 month long contract with them AND agreed to pay the full 6% - to be split among him and other agents. Don't do that. Matt pressured us to lower the price on our home without supporting evidence, such as Market trend reports. I asked for concrete stats and he refused to do that for us. His agents are just as lazy. John Roberts would leave early from open house - again not for any sort of emergency or a good reason. McKernan team just DOES NOT CARE. My husband was the one to have to hold the open house for them. This team of agents gives the profession of real-estate agents a bad name. Mr. Matt has plenty of charisma and charm, but please do not hire him to represent you. He represents only himself. After I found out that our Contingency period should have been removed on Saturday and it was already Sunday, I reached out to him (as an owner) and he refused to assist. He did not send the Sales Agreement cancelation document, as he promised me he did. He did not send the documents that were requested of him to End the Contingency period. My house was hanging in Contingency period for 3 extra days, and Matt refused to communicate on his clients' behalf. In addition, he blamed us for our house not selling, because we could not accommodate just 2 appointment requests. He pressured us into signing a An agreement of Sales by calling and texting incessantly, failing to educate us that we legally have a right to review any legal doc for 72 hours from OUR receipt of the document. I asked his associate to extend the "deadline" - the fake, negotiable deadline on that agreement, and the associate just shrugged me off. To make an already horrible transaction even worse: Matt McKernan was a no-show for both walk-throughs done by the Buyer - one 24 hours before Closing date (which was negotiable too, btw, our Listing agent just didn't care to inform us of that fact) and one 30 days following. Because of Matt's laziness and lack of care and utter lack of professionalism, we lost our damage deposit on our beautifully maintained home. If you care at all for a smooth transaction, do not hire Matt or his team. He will take his % and be gone and leave you to clean up the mess that he created by keeping all the valuable info pertaining to home sale transactions secret, and revealing them only when it is financially beneficial for him to do that.

Matt provides the highest level of customer service I've experienced, he is super responsive, always goes above and beyond, including working on his much-deserved vacation! Matt once again was very knowledgeable and extremely patient, he really listened to us our needs/wants and told us his plan of action for listing and selling our home. We put all our trust in Matt and his team and let them do what they do best and within a week we had multiple cash offers at list price. The next step for us was to find a home, we again put our trust in Matt’s hands and after several months we found the perfect condo for us. We all knew instantly that this was our home the moment Matt opened the door to show us. Matt was always on top of any issue that came up and was very proactive in finding solutions quickly when needed.

The only downside to having purchased our home is that we do not have Matt in our daily lives as Matt has become a treasured friend!
