Solid italian restaurant, though not a standout even in boston. We were happy to get a table on a busy night with no reservation, and I would happily come here again in a last minute situation.

Their meat sauce was fine, not as flavorful as some, and the lasagna could have used more sauce with it. The arrabiata was delicious, would definitely recommend it with the chicken and mushrooms, and the spiciness helped add something. The standard red sauce i found a bit boring to eat and didnt seem as fresh.

For appetizers the artichokes were nice and especially the mussels and white wine sauce were excellent.

Service was efficient, not particularly friendly but got us what we needed.

Used to Go all the time but actually hadn't been to Boston for dinner since covid.
We went in this past Tuesday 1/21/25. Very happy to report it was as good as it always was! We ordered the artichoke heart app it was very good and I don't know what they do with their olive oil bread dipping sauce but it's still amazing. My Cioppino was amazing and as usual had too much fresh seafood I couldn't get through 1/2 of it. My wife got her usual lasagna the portion was huge as usual and the flavor and quality amazing!
Service was also very good we will get this back into our routine!

Last minute decision to see the Celtics, created the opportunity for some Italian and wow this place was fantastic. The reviews of the delicious homemade pasta don’t do justice, you have to let your tastebuds do all the talking. Peach Bellini from Harry’s Bar in Venice Italy set the tone for a great experience: Bruschetta, Caesar salad, Bolognese, and Ravioli were so full of flavor. My daughter and I lived it. Thanks for the table with a view Jorge - we will be back!!

Lo Conte’s Italian Restaurant on Salem Street.

Christmas Eve dinner. Warmly greeted at the door and welcomed to sit at the window table. Small but nicely appointed and quaint establishment.

Appetizer of Parmigianono. Served warm, very nice way to start the experience with a glass of house Chianti.

Main entrees were Seafood Risotto, Sausage Linguini, Spaghetti & Meatballs. Delicious. Fantastic.

Fresh warm bread accompanied the entrees.

The portions were generously sized. Hot. Excellent dishes. An Italian Christmas Eve.

Great service.

Back in April my friend and I visited Boston on a girls trip and had made a different reservation in the North End. Earlier in the day we had were exploring the neighborhood when we ran into the head chef at Lo Conte’s who struck up a conversation with us and told us to come back and he’d take care of us. We ditched our reservation at the place next door and were treated like family at Lo Contes. The pasta was fresh and the bread was warm. Wonderful selection of wines, this was probably one of the best meals I’ve eaten and I’m a pasta snob. The charming atmosphere and the staff who took care of our ever need truly set the experience over the top for one of the most memorable meals I’ve ever had. They even through in dessert for free to top off the familial atmosphere. Although there are an overwhelming amount of options in Bostons North End I cannot recommend Lo Contes enough!!

Went in New Year's Eve and got a table for two. Lovely place, fantastic food. We ordered fried calamari, chicken arrabbiata with linguine, and veal marsala with penne. The calamari was perfect, veal marsala delicious, the chicken was spicy. I didn't know how spicy the spicy red sauce would be, but they weren't lying, it's really damn good, really damn spicy. We would definitely go back again.

Step into the Italian side of Boston for a truly traditional Italian meal. A meal where you feel welcome from the moment you walk in.
Not only is the food absolutely fantastic and tastes fresh, but the service was incredible. We didn’t feel rushed, we never had an empty glass, and our children were taken care of as well.
As a full blown Italian myself, the food was easily the best home cooked Italian food I’ve had in a long time.
