This store is so disorganized. The stock is not put on the shelves. Boxes are everywhere. The floor was sticky and looks like it hasn't been mopped in weeks. I wasn't going through that mess to find what I wanted.

If I could give this place zero stars I would. Every time I come here the store is full of unpacked boxes, shelves are empty, there is one employee. I placed an online order of 18 skeins of yarn last night at about 10pm for pickup the next day. I check the status a couple times seeing if it’s ready and it’s not. I decide to go to the store after work to see if it’s ready and it’s not. It’s now 5pm the next day, no order fulfilled after it said online everything was in stock? So I volunteer to shop my own order. 20 minutes later I have found 0 items that I purchased online. ZERO. That’s how empty the yarn shelves are. Shelves are so disorganized and random skeins are mixed in with other ones. Just a wreck. I needed the yarn yesterday but when I came to shop in person yesterday it was cash only. So after I find zero of my 18 items I ask if I can transfer my order to the Taylor store. They said no. Only option is to cancel. Girl in the front was not helpful, she told me my money would be refunded to my bank right away(not true). I verified with her three times and she said yes. Manager said no. After all this, I will NEVER come back to this store. I’ve worked in customer service, I get it. But honestly this store is so bad please go elsewhere. Maybe if they had less business they could actually unpack the store. I’ve never been to a Joann’s store that was this bad before. Go to a different location.

So sad that JOANN’s is going out of business; it had a huge impact on my childhood. This location will always be the best in the Downriver area, with its friendly staff, great selection, and welcoming atmosphere. It’s truly the end of an era, and I’ll always have fond memories of shopping here.

Down to the rafters and the prices are still at 20 percent off. Just a shell of what it use to be , mainly because the store is closing. Not a good time to go because the deals aren't there. For those who remember looking through the McCall catalogue at patterns you knew you'd never sew, there's nostalgia. Other than that don't waste your money in-store maybe online , but not worth the trouble because nothing's really on sale that you can't find at Michaels.

I absolutely LOVE Joanns. Whenever I come to the USA from Canada I have to stop here. My most recent trip to the Detroit Airport was no exception. I was in a rush and the computer wasn't working properly but the cashier got me all sorted with my coupons and on my way!! I love the selection of knit fabrics here! My most recent haul!!
