Hargray has outages on a monthly basis, sometimes as frequently as weekly. They hardly ever provide an update when there is an outage. I have had 3 different providers in my life and this is BY FAR the worst. They changed their brand to try to start fresh but it clearly isn’t working. If Hargray/starlight is an option for you, go with literally any other option.

Terrible service! Internet was out almost as often as not. A technician came to my house on Thursday and told me that my internet hadn’t been working since Tuesday (I was out of town and didn’t realize). He checked the outside lines and couldn’t find the problem. I tried resetting the router and modem (again) with no luck. He told me that he would report it and Hargray/Brightspeed would send out a technician. On Sunday, I still hadn’t heard anything and still didn’t have internet. I completed the online form on the company website to report service trouble. Today is Wednesday and still nothing. I returned the equipment to the office earlier today to cancel service. I asked if my final bill would reflect that I haven’t had internet for the past week. I was told that there was no record of a technician coming out and that filling out the online form to report trouble “does not work.”

We recently switched internet from Spectrum to Hargray & the technician dug up a portion of our yard to place lines & also dug up Spectrum’s line in our yard that he said belonged to our neighbor & just left the line dug up & exposed. When I called Hargray back to bury the line, the technician came out again & basically stated he couldn’t bury Spectrum’s line that he dug up & suggested I call Spectrum or contact my neighbor about a line in my yard. I called Hargray & spoke with a very nice rep & he reported the issue to his supervisor about burying the line & they never called me back. I called Spectrum about the exposed line that was a potential hazard. The Spectrum tech they sent out saw the line that Hargray left that was cut & became irate & said he wasn’t burying the line. It got so bad I was about to call the police on him. I called Hargray back & spoke with the same customer service rep & he was nice & recalled my issues. He apologized & again reported issue to his manager & said his manager would call me back within 3 hours. Never heard from the manager, but, someone finally buried the line. I also got my bill where I was charged $50 by service technician. They did remove charge, however, I have never experienced such a disaster with setting up internet!

They don’t deserve any stars. Honestly I can’t decide who is worse. Windstream or Hargray. They promised better internet and talked highly of the updates. Here we with the “new” updates and it’s actually worse. According to a tech from yesterday that was working at the road, the contractors they hired didn’t install cables right so when it gets to cold or to hot the internet goes out. Also not to mention when calling they are no help and we have been home all day with no tech showing up.

Please do your self a service my removing Hargray as your ISP. The service is slow and very unreliable constantly in and out. They pride themselves on customer service, but it’s the worst. If you call to report an issue, you’re treated like the problem. Hands down worst ISP ever. I would love to get a credit back for all of the days and amount of time the service is down and doesn’t work

If I could give NEGATIVE STARS, I would. Internet drops at least once per month. Minimal communication. No automated refunds. Prices leep.glimg up, while the actual service continues to fail. I'm stuck with this garbage at my house. But, if you have options, CHOOSE ANOTHER PROVIDER!!! They are terrible, and don't care about their customers. If they cared just a LITTLE BIT,they wouldn't force you to go through insane requirements for refunds due to lack of internet. It would just be automated.

Hargray is the worst internet, Wi-Fi provider I’ve ever had. Every couple of weeks it’s down in Talladega Alabama. When it’s not down the WI-FI IS CONSTANTLY SLOWING DOWN & dropping off. This company does not appear to care about their customers in rural areas. Yet, they keep hiking up the pricing regularly!!!

My account with this company was supposed to be closed. But here I am years later, and they are still billing me. The last time this happened they claimed their equipment wasn't sent in; but I remember taking back their equipment and closing the account almost 10 freaking years ago! So what are you Hargray going to do about it this issue because this is not fair to me nor my credit? I wouldn't recommend such a company even to my enemies to be scammed and using scare tactics to get extra money they do not deserve. Its one thing if I owed you but I do not. I know for a fact I sent in the equipment because let's face it who wants extra clutter in their homes unless you're a hoarder I can do without the extra things to clean. If I could there would be a negative rating. And I am not for you pre-generated response of email us back you name, number, address, and account number (because news flash after 10 years I do not possess the ability to remember such numbers if they are not important like my family social etc...) just honor your part and stop billing me for something I do not have in my possession. At this point I feel like I should be compensated for the harassment of a non existing account ?
