Phil gives me guitar lessons. He is so patient and kind! Phil is an amazing instructor! He answers all of my questions, tells me what I need to do for improvement and gives me great advice on how to achieve my goals. He tailors the lessons to meet the needs and goals of the student. He is very encouraging along the way and knows just how far to push you on your journey to excellence. I highly recommend Phil and Good Water Studios.

My child initially started seeing Phil to learn the ukulele which transitioned to guitar. My child was provided the tools to play these instruments effectively and each lesson introduced a new facet to the music. I was most impressed when it was identified that my child would rather not be an expert musician but had more of an interest in composing music. Phil was able to easily adapt lessons to incorporate this creativity while also still moving toward competency with an instrument. Phil’s has always been patient and kind even on days when my child has not felt this way with themselves.

Hutch and I continue to be amazed at how she just keeps getting better. Phil is a wonderful man with an obvious joy for what he is doing. I've had multiple music teachers in my life, and typically have had difficulty communicating what I'm trying to achieve, or what my learning style is. Throw a busy schedule into the mix and I thought I'd have to self-teach for the rest of my life. I ran into Phil by coincidence and couldn't be happier! He listens and understands different learning styles, is flexible with hours, and doesn't bat an eye if I want to swap over to learning something that wasn't necessarily in the plan for the week! Overall, just a great, affordable, fun experience!

On top of that, the room for bands to rent out and practice in is incredible and extremely affordable!
