I can't say enough about our great experience with Foggy Bottom. They consulted with us about the many options for our new kitchen cabinets, then they produced beautiful custom hickory cabinets to fit our kitchen. My wife loves the new kitchen! There were a couple of hiccups along the way, but they made it right. They are the trustworthy, high-integrity, and high-quality craftspeople you want doing important work in your home.

These people are incompetent. We have been waiting for 5 years for our cabinet issues to be addressed. We payed $1000 extra for 3/4" cabinet boxes, which we did not get. However, they (and Bowden & Alexander) were fine with taking our money. In addition, from day 1 the paint on our cabinets has been chipping. Foggy bottom has stated this was a paint issue with Sherman Williams. Ok fine. this happens. But it took them 2 years to address this and repaint our doors. Once they took our doors, it took nearly 8 weeks to get them back. And then the re-paint was worse than the original paint job (smudges, blotches and chunks of paint where the stiles meets the panel insert). And now our cabinet doors, boxes and crown molding are all a different shade of white. We have tried multiple times since to contact them, which they have ignored incessantly. We are now stuck with overpriced garbage. These people are awful. I have given them 5 years to address this. 5 years. So much for that "lifetime warranty," eh? But remember, "shop local!" We should have went with Menards like we have in past. Would have been cheaper and better quality.

While we like our new custom cabinets overall, we had a number of issues during the process with warped doors, doors drilled wrong, and missing parts. All problems were finally resolved. Kersten did a good job taking our ideas and creating the design cabinets. Had it not been for the issues we experienced, we would have given Foggy Bottom a 5 star.
