As a former employee at this place, it does benefit someone with prior experience not just working in master control but also working at a media hub as well. For someone who is reading this, if you're crossing over from a different career field into the media world, be ready for a lot of transitional work you'll have to learn. On top of that, the company culture is also something that is not great at all to deal with. I used to work in the CBS hub at this Encompass location. There were times when certain individuals on the management staff wouldn't take the blame for themselves when they screwed up and instead chose to blame others for what happened. Other times they decided to make bad examples out of their workers for no apparent reason. If the CBS hub is still there, I would advise anyone not to work under a particular manager by the name of Kevin Strickland if he's still there as well. He is someone who will make an effort to waste valuable time by accusing (the master control operators in the room) of something that did not happen as a way for management to choose to assassinate their character and make a bad example out of them. This allowed me to see how a working environment Encompass is supposed to be can automatically turn into a peevish environment. It happened to me twice when he dragged me out of the room for no apparent reason at all to say to my face that I made bad remarks of an unknown new trainee in the room along with stomping a paper slip at one of the supervisors in the room. These were absolutely ridiculous thoughtless petulant complaints that had nothing to do with me and it was totally a waste of my time. His lambasting tone was disrespectful based on how he chose to categorize me which did not even reflect my true character. I took that very personal and as a grown man I had to ask myself if this is high school all over again? It feels more like you're underappreciated when you do actual work in an unnecessary hostile peevish authoritarian environment like this. As a result I could no longer see myself functioning at this place because I am certainly not the one to deal with this type of complaining from anyone. Those who choose to work at the CBS hub at Encompass if it's still there, this is your assessment from a former employee to be prepared. Before I came here, a former employee of Encompass tried to tell me about his past experience of dealing with similar nonsense like this. Taking advice from former employees makes a huge difference in how much time that can be saved.
