The service here at this quaint little bar was spectacular. We ordered a pizza for dinner and were pleasantly surprised how great it was.

We came after the grill closed (closes at 9pm) and thankfully they were kind enough to still make us food, we’re still polite and quick. The menu is quite wide, and the prices here are great.

We stopped in for a bite to eat and ended up having a lot of fun! The food was great, and Lily was so funny! One of the other guests even had Lily ring the bell because he bought my husband and I a drink!! The food was great. I had a que master burger, and my husband had the chicken wrap special with homemade fries, which I helped him finish!! I'm so glad we stopped in!

Great local spot for cold beer, textbook bar food (the burgers are legit) and a classic atmosphere. Don't be surprised if a "quick stop" turns into a few hours. The ladies behind the bar are fast, friendly and attentive.

Visiting from California, driving through Baraga and had limited options on a weekday evening and decided to try. Sadly, bad choice. Some observations:

1. No food service after 9pm but the bar stays open until midnight? Lots of lost revenue with people turning away. The appetizers were just store bought products heated in a microwave and were terrible. Maybe consider a late night menu during summer or peak season.

2. Unattenive bartender. Bartender (will withhold name) working evening shift was interactive with friends and turning back to customers. It was unpleasant and unprofessional. She seemed annoyed when she had to actually work. Bartender or service professional development training would help. I believe I was greeted with an impatient "what do you want" it was kind of funny. To be fair maybe she was overwhelmed prior to my arrival and might have been exhausted. When I was there it was only 4 customers.

3. The cook was blaring loud R&B/rap music ... which I like. The problem was acoustically it sounded terrible in the main restaurant/bar combined with not being the most appropriate type of music to play in a restaurant/bar setting. Maybe limit volume to just kitchen. He also had orders to fulfill but kept complaining about random stuff to the bartender.

4. First impressions are important. The presentation of the food, lack of cleanliness and bartender's inattentive focus/giving the impression she wanted to be somewhere else would not cause anyone to come back here. This could be a great dive bar with proper employee training and expectations for professionalism.

5. Food was undercooked, I just nibbled as I knew the bartender was not trained to handle complaints and the "kitchen was closed" .

Some good things:

1. Plenty of local customers ordering take out ... so something like pizza/burgers must be right.

2. Lots of drink choices.

3. Might be better in the afternoon when the "A team" is on shift? Maybe I had the C team working in the evening.

Hopefully the experience will be better for future patrons as first impressions and hospitality are important for restaurant/bars to stay alive.
