This gallery and shop is absolutely wonderful. Michelle Cobble is an incredibly knowledgeable and talented photographer, and her customer service was phenomenal. She and her employees had so much knowledge, both professional and personal, about the work and artists that the gallery displayed. The shop itself was homey and beautifully laid out: I could spend hours examining every piece inside it and enjoy every minute of it. This is a must-stop location for visitors to Seward.

Michelle Cobble's photography is beyond spectacular. When I met her in her store last summer, I found her personable and interesting; she was quite knowledgeable about the nature, animals, and birds she photographed.

Months later, when I decided to buy one of her prints, she was again quite enjoyable to speak with. Her print arrived in a timely manner, and was packaged very safely, at a reasonable rate.

If you are in the market for a gorgeous print of the incredible beauty of Alaska, I would recommend, with no hesitation whatsoever, that you check out her website--or, better yet, her store, if you're ever in Seward!

Very unpleasant experience with the owner of this shop and one of her staff. Our teenage daughter did not see the little baby sticker that says no photos and pulled out her phone to snap a photo of one of the hanging pieces of art. The owner said “do not take pictures of my art ma’am, that would be theft”. Lady, please be kind and speak in a respectful tone to all people including kids. People there are much better shops in Seward where you can spend your money with kind Alaskans who don’t talk to people in a nasty, condescending tone of voice.

Great art gallery! The owner Jeff sold us a beautiful picture. His framing work is meticulous. He also took time to tell us the unique history of the building.

Well definitely be stopping back in the next time we are in Seward. They also have some small gifts like a gnome in a bath tub my wife just had to have.

I went in without a mask because I’m vaccinated, I was asked to put one on I said no thanks, the president said if you’re vaccinated...she said very loudly/nastily “are you really going to argue with me right now “ I said I’m not arguing Im having a conversation . She was looking to make a scene apparently. I refused the mask just to make a point, dropped my merchandise and said I’m not spending my money here. No need to make a scene.

I was so impressed with this wonderful shop! So glad we had an opportunity to visit and make a purchase. Please make a point of stopping by. I was also appreciative of the view toward safety during this time and season of what the world as a whole is facing. They are considerate in that regard and glad to see it. Thank you.

The shop staff and owner/photographer at this studio are extremely rude and uninviting. My girlfriend and I were looking at the photos and enjoying them. In the included photo, I noticed a clone stamp (circled in green). There is nothing wrong with clone stamps, as most, if not all, photographers use editing methods that will create them. My girlfriend also started to notice some in the photo she was looking at and we were pointing them out to each other. That is when we were approached by an employee and asked what we were doing. We were forthcoming and explained that we noticed some clone stamps and were just pointing them out to each other. The employee said we were wrong and that the pictures were unedited because all editing was done in house (Yeah, didn't make sense to me either). She then got furious and said "I'll go get the photographer, you won't want to talk to her!!!" Again, a weird statement to make to a potential customer. The photographer came out and brashly asked a group of two guys what problems they had with her picture (they had said nothing and were just looking around), so I called her over and explained that I was the one who she was looking to talk to and that I had no issue. I said I was just noting the clone stamps and then she denied that they existed and accused me of saying she was adding eagles to her photos (I never made any mention of adding eagles). After rudely denying that the blatant clone stamp existed, she changed the subject and started talking about how she doesn't need to add eagles to her work because there are so many there and kept going on and on about it. Later, the same shop employee yelled at another customer for looking at something that was for shop use only. I think it was gift wrapping. There was no possible way to tell that these items were just for shop use. Everyone in the store had turned and looked to see what was going on due to how rudely and loudly she addressed the woman. So, if you would prefer to not be verbally assaulted, I'd just recommend staying out of this shop.

EDIT: I live next to the Mississippi River in the Midwest so I commonly see fields full of wildflowers and see far more bald eagles in a year than the average person (people here commonly joke there should be a hunting season on them because there are so many. This is not a sentiment I carry, as my sister volunteers as a Raptor Transport. My family and I are often involved in the capture, care, and transport of many car hit bald eagles and other birds of prey over the course of a year.). Seeing flowers and eagles photographed is extremely common for me. I don't take photos professionally, but I am required to scrutinize small details for a living and I have a degree in the field of natural resources, so that is why I noticed that everything I have circled in the picture is EXACTLY the same in each circle. Fish carcasses and all rocks included. The same was the case with the daisies, but I could not find that photo online to be able to point it out. I was enjoying the gallery and the photos (I just had noticed these small details that I did not care to bring to light for anyone else until one employee barged in and asked what was wrong). The only point of providing photo evidence (taken directly from the photographers website and unaltered except the green line) of the clone stamp is to give myself credibility, because I knew the photographer would try to dispel the whole situation, including the clone stamps.

This store is filled with everything I love! There is variety and mindfulness in every corner of the shop. The photography is BREATHTAKING!
