We cannot sing high enough praises for Adam and the Brockit team!! I’ve been following Adam’s work on Instagram for the past several years and fell in love with his photography. My new husband and I hired him for our engagement photos and wedding celebration, and we couldn’t be happier with the entire experience. Our communication over this past year and a half with studio manager Meghan has been thorough and helpful - she’s gone above and beyond with coordinating our shoots, answering all of our questions, and making sure everything was ready leading up to our big day. She’s a wonderful member of the Brockit team and we’re so grateful to have worked with her. Our engagement session last September was the first time we met Adam. We were nervous at first as we’d never had photos taken professionally before, but his relaxed, easy going manner quickly helped us feel comfortable and confident. We had a great day taking photos and exploring some of our favorite places in the Keweenaw. His assistant for the first half of our session, Meg, was fun and upbeat and helped make us feel at ease. The photos we got back from our engagement session are so gorgeous! Our wedding was even more incredible - Adam and assistant Jess were with us all day to help capture every special moment, and they were such a joy to work with! It felt like we were hanging out with old friends, and they made our big day so magical. They worked seamlessly with our videographer and our DJ to keep things moving along, and Adam helped create a few private moments for us during our first look and golden hour photos that were so important to my husband and me with all the chaos of the celebration. Adam and Jess even powered through getting stung by ground hornets to make sure we got our golden hour photos before the coveted lighting disappeared. Adam’s attention to detail is flawless, and his work speaks for itself. Our photos are absolutely stunning and we’re so thrilled with every single one of them. He captured our day perfectly and we are forever grateful to him and his entire team for all of their hard work going above and beyond to deliver not only beautiful artistry, but all of the memories of our day. Truly worth every penny, and I cannot wait for our next session with Adam and the Brockit team in the future! Adam and crew took our engagement photos around Hancock while we were on vacation in the Keweenaw. The entire experience was easy and exceeded our expectations. We came back a year later for a Northwoods Elopment and it was the most incredible experience! brockit, Protea Floral and the Vault made us feel like we were the only couple in the world who mattered! As a part of the Brockit team and a client on multiple occasions, I can say with confidence that Adam Johnson is one of the best photographers I have ever met. Not only is he talented, but also engaging and sociable. He works very hard on creating an inviting environment for his clients and gives them the space to be vulnerable in front of the camera, but is supportive throughout the whole process. Getting in front of a camera no matter what the circumstance can be a very vulnerable experience, but Adam and team make it fun and easy.

I first saw Adam's work in 2013. About 9 years later, it was time for me and my husband to pick a photographer for our elopement photos. I live in Germany, but I knew it had to be Adam taking our photos.
From beginning to end, Brockit put in so much effort, which in turn, made our part feel effortless. Correspondence with Meg ran seamlessly. She was prompt, informative, and super friendly.
Jess could not have been a more helpful assistant during our session. She helped set up the scenes, carried lots of accessories we brought along, and always kept an ear open for any thoughts or wishes we had.
Adam not only completely understood the vision we had, he elevated it to a level which I can only describe as magical. Even though my husband and I would describe ourselves more so as camera-shy, Adam and Jess were able to make the whole experience fun and comfortable. They paid great attention to detail, to flow, to composition, and to making sure that our business was shown in the best light - both metaphorical and actual lighting! I have worked with Adam on multiple different shoots and have always been impressed with the results! I had family photos with our dog taken, boudoir, anniversary pictures, maternity and family photos with our new baby. Each shoot has had very different visions and Adam always takes the time to ensure I am happy with the end result. He takes your vision and elevates it to deliver wonderful photos.

Probably my favorite shoot was on our sailboat for my husband and I’s 5 year anniversary. We had the sailboat anchored in White City and Adam not only drove me out to meet my husband at the location, but also motored around our boat in the dingy to get the perfect shot. The final images from the shoot are a dream.

I can’t recommend Adam enough for any type of photos you need. He can do it all!

When looking for a wedding photographer we saw Brockit photos displayed around town. Figured it would be way above our price range...He was not. Not only were the pictures superior to others, he and his crew are wonderful to work with. He gets to know his clients. Pays special attention, making them feel comfortable and the brides feel beautiful. I especially love the passion he brings capturing special memories. We still look at our wedding pictures and are just amazed. We loved our wedding photos so much, requested he do our maternity photos as well. Who else would be comfortable shooting in the Quincy Mine for such a special occasion? Take a chance, feel beautiful and be amazed at the final product. Trust me. You will not be disappointed!
