I was happy to get a local grocery store. However, the store has gotten really run down. Every once in a while you'll see leaky roofs.
The store is very dirty, the bathrooms are disgusting and I think what the major problem is they hire a lot of youngsters and nothing gets clean.
If you go in the bathroom, the toilets are gross from when they mop, and the nasty mop water is splashed up on the sides of the toilets and left.
The floors all over the store are disgusting, and if you look along the baseboards and under certain things or shelves, you will see cobwebs everywhere. The store needs a major overhaul whether the owner likes it or not, wants to spend the money or not, it would be in his best interest to get the store clean. Every time I go in there, the produce department is just terrible, there is rotten berries, wrinkled bell peppers, and soft cucumbers.
I would love for the store to keep running, but as I see it, it won't be long before it gets shut down because of how dirty it is. SMH, Do better!

Excellent service and good variety of stock. The only bummer is that when I need to cut a specific amount of electric wiring, they have no measuring tool or cuters. So it becomes a pain to deal with that..

Surprisingly great at everything for a small city supermarket. My only gripe is that you can get picnic paper plates but not paper platters. Eat your vegetables since they have plenty of fresh selections and also impressive in the meat and dairy departments. Why go anywhere else when Ben's is so close by?

If I could give zero stars for this place, I would. Everything perishable at this store is ALWAYS rotten when it's brought home--brown and grey rotting meat, sour out-of-date deli meats... "fresh" packaged raw meats that are so rotten and full of bacteria it smells like a corpse when it's opened, and no different for "fresh" vegetables.

This has been the revolving problem with this store for years. Take your money and flush it before you go here; it'll be the same result. This is not a once or twice occurrence, it is every. time.

Brown spotted packaged mushrooms, liquid brown slime in salads and herbs, need I go on? How this place is still in operation--or how they haven't been sued yet for foodborne illnesses, is beyond me, it should be or health department should check it. Go to Walmart and deal with their idiot workers, you'll still have better results.

Would much rather support Ben's than Wal-Mart but the prices are outrageous. Meat is reasonably priced & decent quality but eggs, butter, bread, milk & even chips are way too expensive.

I really like this store. The staff is friendly and helpful. It's a little pricey but it's local and small so you have to expect that. It packs a lot of merchandise in such a small place though. From grocery goods and a deli to hardware and animal care it's impressive for a small town store. My favorite is the produce. It's fresh and local when available. They also have a Champ's Chicken.

Awesome store in my hometown. And it's been a long wait for it. We've been without a grocery store for too long. What I love about it is its very clean, organized, friendly and safe from COVID. They use large plastic bags to pack my groceries, so i don't have 20 bags like the big local chain. I only have 5 or 6. No grocery pick up, but I don't need it because it's a safe store to shop. Everyone wears masks and are social distancing. Very courteous community store.
