First of all, the studio is part of his house which I found odd, but that’s the least of it. I came with a group of my friends for my birthday. I thought the guy was nice and he gave us a lot of feedback to help us with our glass artwork. I thought since we followed his advice and instructions, that the designs would come out nicely. I was very wrong. The pieces did not fuse together how he said. I called to address it with him and he refused to take responsibility and said if I wanted to send it back I would have to pay the shipping. My group gave him $20 to cover the shipping of our group’s designs. The shipping costed him $5.70. He had so many excuses for everything and I wanted was for him to make it right. He was not interested in doing this.

Editing to add, as I'm unable to reply to the owner's reply here... he did not offer a return to rework the pieces when we spoke to him over the phone. After this experience we certainly wouldn't want to anyways.

I assumed this "class" would be held in an actual studio - we were asked to come to a shop located in the basement of the owner's home. It was dark, cluttered, and uncomfortable given that you had to walk through the owner's house to use a bathroom. When I arrived, he also made an inappropriate comment that I "looked like his kind of woman" despite the fact that he was certainly old enough to be my father. All that aside, while the class itself was informational, we asked specific questions regarding how the jewelry would turn out and the pieces did not meet expectations. The jewelry was not at all what we were expecting, not to mention the man took 2 months to mail the items out (after i called 5 times and emailed twice to follow up).... AND he charged us $20 in cash for postage (the postage stamp showed a $5 charge upon receipt...). When my friend called to let him know our concerns, he said, " I don't know what to tell you. ".... "I'm sorry" would go a long way, buddy, and perhaps not hanging up on your customers.

Mark convinced me to take more than the one class I had signed up for, and am I ever glad he did! I got a good feel and appreciation for the craft, and just talking with him about it was inspiration to keep working at it. Well worth it.

I needed to get a stained glass window repaired so I looked up dragonfly studios in southbury Connecticut. I'm met Markis, a very knowledgeable and professional man. I needed an odd size piece of glass for an old window. He had hundreds of glass pieces, he showed me a large aqua piece that I said was perfect. He then went to work, measuring the glass, cutting the glass to size, installing it, and then caulking around the edges. 10 out of 10. What a gentleman. He works with you. If you have glass that needs to be repaired, call him! Five stars.
