Laid down on my case once retainer was paid. Submitted to the will of opposing attorney. Had to fire him and obtain counsel outside of Highlands county. Talked a great game then laid down.

I hired Mr. Sutherland since I live out of state and needed someone to look after some issues with my elderly parents. The two times I met him in person and the numerous calls I made to his office as well as emails were all responded to promptly. He is very knowledgeable of elder law and was a great source of information regarding local services in Highlands County. Mr. Sutherland was very helpful and did a wonderful job on my case. I would recommend Mr. Sutherland to anyone. His staff is also very helpful and Mr. Sutherland worked on my case even after hours when he did not have to. He always kept me up to date with my case. I paid Parke Sutherland to evict a squatter. I have evicted tenants myself in about a month. He took four months but at least got the job done. I was out of town and needed someone to change the door locks when the squatters left. Mr. Sutherland highly recommended Walter Woods. I paid Walter Woods $150 to change two locks and hang some blinds. He just kept the $150 for two door locks. I also paid Walter Woods $65 to change one lock on another property. He was supposed to do other work which I foolishly paid in advance but he never did anything. But the worst is, that man Walter Woods would not give me the keys for either property so I have to now pay someone else to rekey those two houses. Maybe Walter Woods has dementia and can’t find the keys. Maybe he isn’t educated enough to mark keys with a matching address. Other than that, Walter Woods is a total shyster!
Mr. Sutherland: Walter Woods is NOT a good recommendation. I hope in this case, birds of a feather don’t flock together. Leary of using your services again, sir.

Hired for a fairly simple paperwork change. Gave him all the info he requested within 2 days. Made several phone calls requesting information/updates with no calls back. 4 months later, nothing has been done! Had to take the case somewhere else.

Attorney Sutherland was extremely worthless as a lawyer. We did most of the leg work and his famous thing to charge a lot of money for was emails. He would send the same email a few times and charge us an outrageous amount. He would set ultimatums with the opposing lawyer but never follow through. We would have to call over and over for a few months at a time with no response. STAY AWAY AND SAVE YOUR MONEY!

Without a shadow of a doubt, I would NEVER recommend C. Parker Sutherland, P.A to not one single person! Procrastination at its finest. Money hungry and procrastinated so very long to try and accrue more fees for work "he did." VERY DISSATISFIED!!
