If you are looking for slow speeds at high prices this is the company for you. I pay over 100 dollars a month for this. I truly feel bad for the one hamster running on the wheel that powers the whole northwest communications internet grid.

Ive had Northwest Communications for well over 20 yrs. As far as service they are ok for the most part. Seems like the cable & internet connection get interupted quite often during storms. And my bill just raised another $5 per month. I think $190 a month is outragous for basic cable and internet , especially for people who are retired on SS income. They should look into a senior discount or have a seniors package of some kind. I gave it a 2 star based both on service , connection interuptions and cost.

Didn’t have many issues but it has been multiple weeks with terrible internet/no internet. When you call they send you to tech support to confirm that there is an outage. Where they admit there is an issue on there side. But refuse to do anything with the bill to make up for the weeks of terrible internet. The customer service is terrible, if you have the ability to go with another option. I wouldn’t think twice

Goodbye NorthWest where I live you no longer are the monopoly. We are officially divorced. I was stuck with cable internet rip off price for years. Then finally you installed your fiber. That was a improvement but a horrible experience to have that installed. You should of never charged me 300$ to pay for that install. (Worst experience ever) Especially when the customer offers and does dig a trench themselves. The time frame of that process was horrid. Also I did try and plea with you to lower your prices before I decided to go with this new company that offers me 4x the speed and 30$ less then what your charging and offering me. Oh and a free installation. (Amazing) Your statement to me was we go to church together. No we don't. An that your local. Ok your severs are in WI and this new companys severs are not far from me either. That didn't convince me to stay at all. Now guess what my neighbor and other neighbors are looking into switching. I've had you since I was a kid living in Amery with dial up internet. Finally I'm free from your monopoly where I currently live. It's so refreshing. Goodbye you had your chance I tried to give you that opportunity and that didn't happen. Goodbye

Couple reasons for a 1-star rating:
- Required a $300 install. They sent someone out for install and the internet didn’t work after. When I called they insisted that there was nothing wrong. When they finally sent a tech out, the tech was able to confirm that it wasn’t working and resolved the problem. They also left ripped insulation and a mess where the internet cables were brought into the house.
- They offer internet speeds higher than they can actually support. Paying for the giga max 1000 service and I’m lucky to see speeds over 600.
- You're also billed ahead of time for services. When I questioned why I was being billed for a service I didn’t use yet, the response I got is that they’ve been doing it that way for 50-years.

My internet service speeds have been a lot slower than what we pay for. We pay for 100mb for 115$ a month. Max we'll get us 60mb. It was okay in the past. But over the years the speeds seem to be dropping. So when Midco services arrive in our area. We'll prob make the switch. I'm not a customer I am a teen of my parents.

I called Northwest Communications in Amery Wisconsin did you get information on their internet service cuz I have bright speed right now and I'm not happy with their service and they don't offer high speed service in my area the lady I talked to was not very pleasant and I would really like to upgrade my service but reading reviews and the way I was treated makes me think I should just stick with the slow service that I have I don't understand how places can stay in business with poor customer service and from what I'm reading and reviews not delivering quality service that these other customers to Northwest Communications are paying for and it looks like they just tried to pass the blame on to somebody else this is just my opinion but I don't think I'll be switching over even though right now I have DSL and I would really like fiber optic service

We're on their fiber optic service - we had some spotty issues in the first couple of weeks, but I'm going to chalk that up to the service being new. We're 4 months in, and the internet is lightning fast, and satisfactory in its stability
