After being with Erie/provident insurance for a few years we filed a claim because we found some mold in our walls and they said we had water issues in our basement. the pressure tank just got a small leak a week or two before they came to check these problems out. They said we were not covered for both of those problems. Which the pressure tank got fixed a couple weeks ago and the mold in the wall got fixed a week ago. Come to find out they dropped us today because of those problems. So if you go with them you must listen to what they cover and go through the policy. They were horrible at explaining stuff when we got them. Should have been a red flag there. The ladie that works there was strait up rude from the start of the claim to the end. If I could give zero stars I would but 1 star is the only option.

I had been with this agency for over 4.5 years. Up until recently the service was very good, but was disappointed that the rates and premiums continued to increase every year, even though we never had a single claim. Over time we brought more business to this agency with mulitple properties, vehicles, as well as our recreational equipment but never felt like I was getting rewarded for being a loyal customer. Clients make sure you price around or you might be be spending more than you need to. We, gained more coverage and decreased our costs by $2,400.00 by switching and going up the road to Cordova's. This is even with having one teenage driver as well as going from only liability on a couple of vehicles to now having full coverage on all of them. I want to support my community, but I don't like feeling taken advantage of. In addition when I terminated coverage the agency failed to send in notice to the underwriter., I almost had an overdraft on my bank account and had to leave work ( almost 2 hours round trip) and deposit money to ensure that did not happen, luckily I had caught it in the first place. In fairness they did reimburse for the stop payment placed, but I lost time away from work and extra wear and tear on my vehicle. This takes me to the final straw that pushed me to say something publicly. I apparently owed money to the underwriting company which one would expect a statement to be sent for that balance. Instead I get a collection notice from the firm. I am one to never say never, but I feel pretty confident I will never be back to this business again and will gladly inform all that I meet. I am so very pleased with the service I have received from the Merrill Provident/Erie insurance office. Over the phone I am able to do everything I needed. Plus, the girls have gone above and beyond to make sure I get the best deals and explain everything to me. This office is definitely a full service home town hero business. Thank you

Pamela Babino (whom also left a recent review), either is talking about another agency, or she is just a terrible person. Her review is BS! I am a professional that appreciates the kind of service, honesty, and information that Collins has provided me and my family. If you want a company to treat you right, give you options, AND save you money too, then Collins Insurance is the company you need to speak with!
