Super rude employees and management in North Attleboro, MA location. Went in yesterday with my husband, 5 year old, & 2 babies. Donated items on our way in, right away saw a bigger item we wanted so my husband cashed out for it and put it in the car while we shopped, at the end of our trip we bought a doll from the glass case for my daughters birthday, employee insisted we cash out for it there- ok no big deal, but then the cashier up front apparently advised by her manager SNATCHED it out of my carriage away from my daughter since we hadn’t scanned it, didn’t bother speaking to us like humans to see we had already purchased it and had the receipt- I was also in the middle of scanning items anyway (we cashed out 4 times and spent about $200!) didn’t bother apologizing to us either. My husband called to complain but of course the same employee answered and said her manager told her to do it. SO UNPROFESSIONAL. I understand double checking and asking for a receipt or if you’ve forgotten to scan an item but snatching it from a child and openly accusing of theft while we’re legit STILL cashing out? And then not even offering an apology? Really sad.

Todays experience was the worst. I came to check out and started scanning my items, Lisa( retail store manager) walks up next to me and starts scanning my stuff, no explanation nothing not a word said, I asked her to back away because she was in my space yet she continued to do so with no explanation. She then leans past me to my three year old son who was sitting in the cart holding serval toys, she grabs one car away from him and attempts to take away the tractor, without even asking me if it’s OK to do so not only that I asked her multiple times to back away from him, and that I would do that myself because she was scaring him after explained that he doesn’t understand English and doesn’t know what she’s saying to him. She continued and grabbed the tractor out of his hands. Luckily, his fingers didn’t get stuck because he was holding on tight, and he could’ve had an injury because of her grabbing the toys out of his hands, while he was firmly holding onto them, and at this point, my son was sitting in the car, trying his hardest, not to cry I could see the fear in his face, at this point, I was just confused what was going on Absolutely nothing was explained to me I was having so much anxiety I felt attacked. I kept asking her to back away. She did not do so, and continued to scan my items, and after I stated to her that she just scared my child, and that he doesn’t understand English, so he wasn’t understanding what she was doing asking him for the toys and I told her that I was going to do it myself, and she then proceeded to say that a customer saw me put jewelry in my purse, which was clearly a false accusation. At that point I was just shaking from the trauma and anxiety, I emptied my purse, completely for her, and she didn’t even look at it, or the things that emptied because clearly she knew there was nothing there stolen. She walked off and didn’t say a word after I told her that she caused me and my son a lot of stress. I just finished checking out and left. (Woodinville location)

Sad 😔 😟 I believe value village corporate office is pretty awful.
Needs to apologize for what they've done to the man that they kicked out because of his service dog. My migraines cause severe seizures. You never know what can happen? But I feel that this value village would have been responsible if something did happen to that man in your store without his dogs.
This is only gonna make people stop coming to the stores. I will never walk into any more of your stores. I.
Think there's a lot of people that are gonna be doing the same. I think.
Corporate owes this man a lot.. A public apology and make it up to him.🤬😡😠😢😱

Don’t respect handicap won’t hold items even when pay at closing and pick up at opening verbally argumentative to a fault about a new way to care for the customer in other words make them have a better experience, non yielding

Recently, at the Huntington Beach location on Garfield, I witnessed an appalling interaction of an extremely rude and aggressive Savers Donations Crew employee towards myself and an elderly woman while simply trying to DONATE goods to Savers. For many years my family, friends and neighbors have DONATED thousands of dollars worth of goods to the Huntington Beach and Shoreline Village, WA locations. NEVER AGAIN.

This store has a "proper" American flag stapled and crumpled up on the counter less than six inches from the floor. As the spouse of a Disabled US Army veteran this is offensive and not how you are to treat our nation's flag. The store manager stated that it had been that way since she started which must have been last week as I was in the store and it was not there. The corporate office does nit answer calls but I have left a message. Please join me in boycotting this store until the flag is removed.

Las vegas tropicana store is awful. I can't believe a company like this does not have 2 separate lines with signs, that read CASH or Card. Instead, they have their employees calling for cash or card and customers just dont listen or speak english. Monday's the lines are the worst and they wrap around the store with staff yelling cash or card with the single line. The store manager told me that calling corporate would be waste of time because this is how they want run. Today the staff was very rude. (male staff worker front-end cashier or supervisor)and because of nobody listened when they call, me and others where paying with card and as I walked by, I said card and they still didn't move. The male staff put the woman in front of me on machine 8 and he called again for card so I move to that area and rude male told me to go back and wait. Upon returning he called again, card and I went back and when I was checking out I heard him say that I cut to the other Spanish speaking customers and told him that I did not and I did not appreciate him saying something that was not true. As I was standing there checking out it was expressed, as I turned around to male staff I stated they if the customer was paying with card than why didn't they move or when I walked by and said card and they just ignored them and me. I did not appreciate male staff giving a discount because they did NOT listen and I have been there on many Monday's and this system does not work. I will be calling corporate office first thing in the morning. This is not the first time with the staff.

Absolutely love shopping at value village every week. All of the employees are great! My problem is the policy on not being able to get something when people ruin it for everyone and pull a tag off. I was willing twice to wait and pay for an item that didn't have a tag and was told that, due to policy, I couldn't have it unless it was on the floor. They had to go through, and re price. I understand, but why can't I have it held if I know I want it and am wanting to pay for it once it's priced? Corporate, please explain.
