What a pleasure it has been to work with Janelle (Ellanyze) on my website re-design! She helped me breathe new life into my "dusty," early 2000 site. Not only is Janelle gifted as a designer, she's an accomplished technician, promptly and clearly addressing every question or concern I had, and making any adjustments that were needed. We worked together quite closely on the design elements, with Janelle offering a variety of terrific options, until we arrived at the ones that felt just right. Although it is her mastery that brought my website into full bloom, I felt very connected to the process, and felt a sense of collaborative energy between us. The first job of a web designer is to get the client to give careful thought to what they want and the main messages and information they want to convey through their site. This is work the client must do at the outset, and I greatly appreciated how Janelle handled this part of the process. She was patient but at the same time nudged me, in a professional way, to dig in and answer the questions. After my site was underway, I realized how central this initial step was, and Janelle helped me to navigate the waters as I did this work. Then, once I had completed this step, Janelle moved quickly in developing a design for my site.

I knew in advance that I loved Janelle’s design skills and sensitivities, and when she presented me with a design for my site, I was thrilled. She also gave me guidance in choosing elements on the site, such as fonts that spoke to who I am and that I loved the look of, and photographs that aligned with the messages I want the site to give.

Janelle is a professional through and through—and also a warm and caring person who is a great pleasure to work with. Although my site is quite “basic,” I also know she offers a wide variety of website elements that her clients might want and need on their sites.
