Love this place they have excellent gaming products and the atmosphere on game nights is awesome there's still plenty going on without it seeming like a mad house like some other shops I've been to on game night

This is my favorite kind of nerd store. It’s a little hole in the wall in the back corner of an old strip center, the kind of place that doesn’t cost much to rent. A typical nerd store, if you will. They’ve got everything I’m looking for: RPGs, Warhammer, MTG, board games, miniatures, dice, and all the essentials that nerds like me love! I met these guys at ThunderCon and bought some top notch dice from them. They were friendly and welcoming. I got the same vibe when I went into the shop a few days later. If you’re on the sunrise side of the Lower Peninsula and you’re looking for an awesome den of nerdiness then Collective Effort Games is for you! Five stars!

great place to go and chill.
i have been in the magic community for a while and it is nice to see a great group of people so informed and full of updates in the newest sets that come out .
also great on treating people with respect and kindness never been scuffed at or treated bad very great people.

It's a pretty nice place to get your magic the gathering cards, they have a wide variety to choose from. Also the owner is really helpful and attentive to any questions you might have. Safe to say if you wanna get into magic in Alpena this is the place to go.

Fantastic game shop! Magic the Gathering, Warhammer 40k, board games, oh my. Staff is very helpful and order anything they have access to if not in store. Very kind as well. Loved my experience. Will continue to support this local shop!

Nice Staff, but is very disorganized and smelly within the store. I do not know how new the store is, or if the smell comes from the building itself, since it is older, but they definitely have quite a bit to work on to be a more presentable and professional business.
