I would not recommend this firm. Once Andrew Tallant retired from the firm 2 years ago, the service and response time became atrocious.

Specifically, in tax year 2022 Fricke and their cohorts at ADP screwed up my payroll resulting in a refund I knew was not correct. My calls and emails were ignored trying to rectify. Now 2 years later I am having to pay back taxes, late fees, interest, and penalties due to their negligence. Thankfully, I have found a firm that is competent, responsive, and fairly priced.

It saddens me to write this review, but Fricke & Associates must continue to be exposed and held accountable for the way they've treated us and many other long-term clients. We had been clients since 2006. We experienced the same as many others have shared when Fricke merged with another company. Fricke was grossly negligent and completely dropped the ball in filing our taxes, and more importantly, caused two separate $1MM life insurance policies on my husband and I to lapse. These policies had been in place for almost 17 years when the lapse occurred, and the life insurance company declined to reinstate us. We had no idea since Fricke was the Trustee and had received all the communications. The policies had been managed by Fricke successfully for about 16 years as we made him our Trustee shortly after starting the policies. When we were finally told of the lapse, Fricke avoided meeting with us, and when he finally did, he was nonchalant and cold. He matter-of-factly shared that he had found several boxes of unopened mail in a since-fired accountant’s office and that our unpaid policies were in those boxes. I reminded him that I had personally sent him countless emails and phone calls complaining about this accountant and that he had ignored them. I asked him why did he assign our account to a new accountant given that we had been with him for so long, and why did he ignore my personal messages. He claimed he didn’t receive my direct emails nor phone calls. It was unbelievable as we've been such long-time faithful clients and had never been treated this way. Further, he continued to bill us for Trustee services even though he was obviously not doing the services, and had not made us whole with the life insurance policies. After we left, he attempted to charge us for the final year of tax preparation even though he had not reimbursed us for the unpaid policies and significant monies we had deposited which still remain in the trust bank accounts (and still has not reimbursed nor refunded those monies). I'm sincerely really taken aback by it all as I would have never expected this from him. It's surreal. We've referred countless people to him over the years. And then, after almost 20 years, to be abruptly dismissed in the same exact manner that so many others have described in their reviews, is unconscionable. #WinSomeLearnSome

Working with FRICKE & Associates is always an easy and professional experience. My agent was absolutely superb. We learned after submission of my 2023 tax return that my identity had been stolen. FRICKE immediately engaged with me and the IRS and provided me all of the necessary paperwork to identify myself and resubmitted my return to the IRS before the 15 April deadline. A positive and professional experience.
