I've been complaining for years about Coosa, mostly for their horrible internet. It's ridiculously slow, even with a decently high internet package, and I feel like I'm barely topping dial-up speed. I still find it hard to believe they have an even lower internet speed package than what I have, and I used to have it! Couldn't do anything on the internet at all. Forget YouTube, forget games, forget anything, if you don't have, at the lowest, one package below the fastest speed, you can't do anything. I can barely play any games online with my package, I can't download anything, I can't even use Hulu at all and Netflix buffers often. To make things even worse, the internet and phone go out ALL THE TIME, for seemingly no reason. I have AT&T at my other house and it's such a huge difference. The internet is awesomely fast and never goes out unless someone hits a pole or something. My current internet speed with Coosa is not even 2 megabytes download. The "Express Speed" is just awful, and the price for it is so much more than it should be worth for internet this slow. The highest speed they offer is 3 megabytes. That is NOT high speed. With AT&T, I don't even think we have the highest speed and we get over 20 megabytes, which for me is really good and I can do anything with great speed. The Basic Internet package is a total joke. You don;t even get a megabyte. Basic internet anywhere else would be faster than the highest speed they offer. What a joke. I've seen a lot of other people complain about the customer service and lucky for me, I haven't had the displeasure of speaking with them. The cable is nothing great either. Randomly during movie/TV show scenes where there is fast movement on-screen, the screen gets pixelated and delays for seemingly no reason. The quality of the picture could be much better, too. If we weren't about to move away from Pell City, we would have already gone with DirecTV cable and internet a long time ago.

All in all, DO NOT go with Coosa. Get DirecTV (which I have at my other house and it is
great) or Dish. Avoid Coosa Cable if in any way possible.

This is a rating for the NEW USA COMMUNICATIONS who bought Coosa Cable. This is the worst excuse for an internet company I have ever seen. They sold me a 15Mbps down and a 1 Mbps up connection. So far it barely gets above 2Mbps with uploads of less than 200Kbps- Technician blamed it on overload, technician was arrogant and condescending. UNBELIEVABLE! Stick with your DSL it's much faster! I will be trying to get my money back! Yeah right.

I don't have cable TV just internet. I use the internet for Netflix and it works great. Some bad reviews...well you just have to take into account where you live and realize that you can't get anything any faster than Coosa Cable. There are others a lot slower, believe me. I have had no trouble with Customer Service and the service tech that installed my internet was great. I would give more stars if it was faster but I am content with what I get. It is way faster than dial up.

Coosa Cable makes me dream of the days when dial up internet was the fastest I could get. This is a complete joke. They do not have the money or resources to update their lines or equipment and then they make the customer feel like we are the ones wrong. The City of Pell City is utterly ignorant or just plain stupid to only allow Coosa to be the only cable provider. Then again now that I think about it, I'm sure Coosa spends most of their money on city council members instead of making their customers happy with halfway knowledgeable employees and better service. GET YOUR #$%^ TOGETHER AND DO SOMETHING ABOUT YOUR TERRIBLE SERVICE!!!!!!! THIS IS 2013 NOT 1992!!!!!!

Coosa Cable is HORRIBLE! Unfortunately we don't have other choices besides DISH or DIRECTTV. They don't offer the Bravo channel at all and there is no after hour service. If something happens after hours, you're just out of luck because there is not even an answering service or anyone on call. I have had continuous problems with the internet. If it rains, there's a problem, if it's windy, there's a problem, and so forth. They are very frustrating to deal with!

Can I give less than one star? Negative stars? I don't even know where to begin. It's 2013 and I have Coosa Cable's "upgraded" cable internet and I can't even watch a video on YouTube in 360p without it stopping about 4 times to load. Horrible TV quality, HORRIBLE internet service. I thought you couldn't get worse than centrytel's DSL service out here but ohhhhh boy was I wrong. Stay away.

The fact that they claimed they couldnt come to an Agreement with Amc to keep the network because it cost too much and then they turn around a raise basic cable prices anyway with no AMC. The rep told me today old coosa cable customers wont see the increase but new ones will......i mean this is not even worthy of one star over 60 bucks a month with zero features. The only onscreen guide u get for this price is the old rolling kind like back in 1985. Pathetic.

Just came to add my 1 star to this company if I could put 0 I would. The worst part about this company is that customer service blatantly lies to you. They said their internet will be the fastest in the country in a 2 weeks, 2 months later and it is still slower than dial up. I am currently only getting 50 -100 kb per second download speed. That's like 50x slower than my last download speed with another company . Please if you want to do anything online go with any other company because for the price your paying or Ganna pay you cAn get something 50x better
