UPDATE 2025:
We lasted another year with this company but it never got better. We decided to just purchase Starlink which has been fantastic for this area and recommend to go that route here in the foothills. I wasn’t going to leave a review for this company after we had broke ties but after we noticed they’d never reached out after to schedule an appointment to collect their equipment(we were told they would call us) for weeks we wondered if they’d ever reach back out and nervous we’d have to pay for the equipment since it went radio silent. We had just noticed this last week they had come out without us knowing, went up on our roof, and grabbed their satellite but left the ugly pole and cord. They trespassed on our roof without any consent. We don’t know when this happened but are very upset as we have pets in the house that easily spook, and a very stressed dog that doesn’t do well with strangers coming over unannounced. This company has zero communication, and very little respect for its customers. This is not ok.

We haven’t had internet in 5 days and instead of communicating with their costumers on when this will be fixed or at the very LEAST a time frame, they have an answering machine stating no one can talk right now (for 5 days) It’s Friday and I have no doubt in my mind that we will be going all weekend without internet as well. This company will fail if operating like this continues. Zero costumer service of any kind.

Conifer used to be a reliable company and we rarely had issue, and if we did they were prompt taking care of it. Not so much anymore... Constant outages weekly and very little accountability, choosing mainly to blame anything but their equipment . My guess is they're out of money, they're doing everything company should do if they wanna go out of business. Researching star link as an alternative

EDIT: another outage for 1.5 days. Can stream videos but data issues prevent proper downloads and corrupted files on my computer that i now cannot uninstall because of missing files. Was told yesterday by offsite personnel that it would be back on bytwo am...still down. Haver NEVER gotten the speeds i pay for. This company is a joke that is costing me money

Reposting this review after a reply here to try and give this company another shot:
After trying to use this company as my internet provider for over a year I'm finally fed up. We have gone through two different dishes installed on our property and are now on the third. The first dish worked fine until it failed. They were responsive and came and replaced it in a timely manner and said they were trying a new dish that ended up being a "lemon." The second dish had pretty much the exact same story and failed to being another lemon. The third dish they decided to point at a property nearby that they are now using as a new broadcast point for our neighborhood while my property has a clear shot to the nearest tower. The new dish maintains the speeds I pay for a ok amount of time but is completely unstable with spikes that will completely lag out to a point of dropping calls and needing to refresh a lowly YouTube video. I called to just try and trouble shoot and maybe see if we could find a fix and who I was trying to talk to was completely rude and tried to blame my hardware..even tried to tell me I have viruses. Completely unprofessional considering it's their hardware that has proved to continually fail. I know my hardware very well and know what I run and can see that its a connection problem. I asked if we could try to point my dish back at the tower to see if we could at least try to make it more stable and was told no. They wrote a tech request ticket and wrote that I called complaining. I called with a very friendly manner actually just trying to trouble shoot and work a fix. Ditching this company as soon as possible.

After a reply to this review we were finally able to get a tech to our property to see if we could trouble shoot. Was told that the problem is they are fazing out the hardware on our tower and we don't have anything from the tower pointing at us. I asked when they would have hardware back up on the tower? Was told they don't know just whenever they can get funds for said hardware. Was also told they spent thousands to set up the new hardware pointing at the neighbors to broadcast a signal from there. And since they did this our service is the most unstable mess. I let the tech know that I'm getting massive ping spikes affecting my latency and this never used to happen. He proceeded to tell me "well we don't guarantee latency"........like what? I've got another internet provider on their way. Can't wait to be done with this garbage

Beware!!! This is the worst service I have seen and I have been paying over $200 per month for their poor service. Conifer Communications is a joke! The service is down more than any provider I have ever used. I am currently on a two day plus outage with no restoration in sight until the workers get off of their long three day weekend. Before that, it was a nine day plus outage. Customer service is poor. Conifer Communications internet provider simply wants to collect their monthly fees and does not care if you have service. Beware of this company!!!

First of all, I am not a friend of the company trying to up their stars as the last review suggests. I have been a customer from the very beginning. I have had minor issues that the company has fixed with no excuses or complaints. I've had major issues such as a divorce that wasn't the easiest thing to deal with, the ex had internet in her name. Customer service helped with switching her name to mine, not to mention the ex tried any and everything to cause problems for the new wife and I to include trying to disrupt our internet but I had already contacted customer service so they went above and beyond to do their job correctly. The wife and I just recently purchased a home out of state, called to find out about prorating our last ten days here in California. The customer service not only turned our payment method off so we wouldn't be charged for whole last month. They gave us those last ten days free of charge and wished us the best on new move. I would have given conifer ten star but sadly five is maxed. I'd recommend conifer for great Internet and the best customer service I've ever had from any company period.

The most over priced and unreliable internet service provider I’ve ever experienced. The smallest storms cause massive outages that takes days to fix. I would not recommend this service to anyone looking for a consistent internet signal.

We have reached out to Conifer for solutions and was told we would be put on a waiting list. That was a week ago with no update or any communication from Conifer.

Excellent service - the best I've ever received from an ISP. They always pick up the phone, and can change your speed tier on minutes' notice. Only downside is their rural nature and not being able to increase our upload speed, which is more a physics issue than a company issue. 5 stars!
