I had a few ideas as to where I wanted to have this moment but when I got TJ's information he started listing off places he recommended and put me in contact with the venue that we ended up deciding on. We set up a consultation to go over exactly how the photo shoot would go and I knew I was in good hands. The day of the proposal, TJ and Ian were both there early and hiding in the perfect location. They took us around the venue and shot phenomenal photos which we will cherish for a lifetime. I’ve worked with Ian a handful of times for both photo and video. The results are always good, the price is always fair, the turnaround is always quick, and the communication about the plan/goals/desired outcomes is always easy. I’ve been working with other creatives of the highest level for the same sort of projects for 20+ years— Usually I’ve had to compromise on 1-2 of those areas to get great content. Not the case here. That’s rare.

Ian’s video editing is really excellent. He gets it as a storyteller. That part of creativity can’t always be learned/taught. He captures the essence and feel of things very beautifully. The final images are visually engaging without being forced, contrived, or cliche (there’s a lot of corny or overly manufactured looking stuff out there). Everyone wants “authenticity,” but few are able to deliver it in an appealing way he does.

Also, with every new project inquiry there seems to be a strong grasp on what’s currently most valuable as marketing tools, but with evergreen consideration. I feel more confident with the creators that are obviously paying close attention to a fast moving, ever-changing landscape, in a way that benefits clients (me), short and long term.
